Motorcyclist Killed In Collision With Car In Suffolk
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene following the Thursday night crash, police say.
ROCKY POINT, NY — A motorcyclist died in a collision with a car in Rocky Point on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.
A 25-year-old Rocky Point man was driving a 2008 Mercedes Benz southbound on Rocky Point Yaphank Road, a mile south of Route 25A, when he collided with Chanchu Kim, 26, of Ridge, who was driving a 1988 Kawasaki motorcycle northbound, at 8:50 p.m., police said.
Kim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Mercedes Benz driver was not injured, police said.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
