North Shore Baseball, Softball Teams Win Districts

Little Leaguers from North Shore Little League took four district titles in their age groups this season, with two squads even repeating.

The 9/10 boys, 10/11 boys, 9/10 girls and 11/12 girls all took the titles in district 36, which runs from Rocky Point down to Bellport, and all the way out east to East Hampton and the North Fork.

Robert Follo, coach of the 10/11 boys' team and member of the Board of Directors for NSLL, said his team repeated after winning their age group in districts the previous year, as did the older softball team.

While all teams fell in the sectionals – which includes six district champs, from eastern Suffolk to western Nassau County – the teams still have some great memories to look back on.
