October Weekend Activities

It’s that exciting time of year again… The leaves are falling, the weather is cooling and everything is pumpkin spice flavor.
Getting the family all together can be challenging enough, so here is a dated list of all the fun and spooky activities happening this month.

13/14 October

• Spooky Fest, Rockville Centre: For those of you with little ones, the festival includes both spooky and non-spooky activities.
• Harvest Fair, Southampton: Both fun and educational!
• Punktoberfest, Bay Shore: You might want to leave the kids home with a babysitter for this one.

19/20 October

• Spooky Fest, Rockville Centre
• Fall Family Freshwater Fishing Festival, West Hempstead: Yes, you can actually go fishing at this festival.

27/28 October

• Spooky Fest, Rockville Centre
• Islip Country Fair, Islip: It’s Islips first festival so you know they’re going to go all out. Definitely don’t want to miss this one.
• Halloween Family Fun Fest, Rockville Centre: This is a dress up event. Dress to impress.
• Great Jack-o’Lantern Spectacular Sail, North Babylon: Unbelievable amounts of talent to be seen here, and best of all, it’s free.
• Oktoberfest, Riverhead: A family friendly Oktoberfest filled with food and fun.
• Ragamuffin Parade, Sag Harbor: Either dress up and participate in the parade, or dress up and watch the parade.
