Rocky Point High Cheerleaders Take First at State Competition
Team captures title with their flawless routine.
Rocky Point High School’s varsity cheerleaders captured first place during the NYSPHSAA Cheerleading Competition.
The athletes went up against some of the most competitive cheer teams and once again captured the title for their flawless routine.
The state held three competitions across New York this season, which were open to all schools in preparation for next year’s championship. It was a chance to compete using new cheerleading score sheets, which are very different from previous scoring rules.
