Rocky Point Lions Club's Wearing O' the Green

Rocky Point Lions Club, St Patrick's Parade

The Rocky Point Lions Club once again be participated in the 65th annual Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday March 15th as well as the Friends of St Patrick Dinner on March 8th. Despite the cold weather, the Lions roared on, starting in Miller Place and trudging down Route 25A through Sound Beach and concluding in Rocky Point. Our mascot, the Rocky Point Lion, was a big hit with the children along the route and we were also lucky to have a World War II Jeep carrying past president Bill Johnson. This is always a fun event for the Lions as we marched through the communities we serve and waved to the throngs packed along the parade route.

We strongly support the Friends of Saint Patrick by attending the dinner and marching in the annual parade each year. The Lions goal is also to heighten awareness of Lions international, support the pride in our community, and assist with community improvement projects.
