Rocky Point Robotics Qualifies for Regional Championship

Quantum Chaos team makes alterations in preparation for March competition.

The hard work Rocky Point High School’s robotics team - Quantum Chaos - has displayed since September paid off during the FTC Qualifying Competition, where they won first place and a bid to compete in the NYC/Long Island Regional Championship.

This year the challenge was called the “Cascade Effect” and called for students to build and program a robot to perform different tasks to complete the overall challenge. The team, which is comprised of students in ninth through 12th-grade, received varying point values for the activities they completed.

The team will continue to practice and prepare for March competition by make alterations and improvements to their robot to maximize its efficiency.
