Snow Hits Miller Place-Rocky Point, Winter Weather Advisory in Effect
South Shore hit harder as more snow covers the area Tuesday.

Long Islanders are seeing a bit more snow Tuesday.
A winter weather advisory remains in effect for the region until 12 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
As much as 3 to 5 inches of snow may accumulate on the South Shore, with 1 to 3 inches on the North Shore, the NWS reports.

Expect hazardous driving conditions. While main roads are plowed and moving, travel is still slow-going and slippery. Drivers are reporting that side roads are slippery as well.
Temperatures are at 16 degrees, with wind chill values between 5 and 10, the NWS reports.

Snow showers are expected Wednesday and Thursday, the NWS says. By Friday, it will be sunny, but still cold.
