Special Weather Statement Issued For Long Island
The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for Long Island. See the latest forecast.

The National Weather Service has issued the following special weather statement for Long Island:
Visibilities will continue to fall early this morning. Patchy dense fog is possible, especially during the morning commute. Be on the lookout for rapidly changing visibilities, use low beam headlights, and allow extra breaking distance in case a sudden stop is needed. Visibilities should improve by 10 am.
Once the fog lifts, we are looking at near-record high temperatures Thursday and Friday. The daily record high for March 25 at Long Island MacArthur Airport is 66 degrees set in 1987. We should be right around that mark Thursday afternoon. We have a better shot at a record on Friday – the March 26 record at MacArthur is 65 degrees set in 1976 – when temperatures will approach 70 degrees after showers in the morning.
