A Suffolk County Police sergeant accused of falsifying his time sheets and stealing more than $7,400 faces felony charges, Suffolk County District Attorney Tim Sini said Tuesday.

Robert J. Kall, 48, falsified police department records to indicate that he had worked full shifts when he had not on 12 separate dates between Feb. 3, 2016, and July 17, 2018, Sini said.

On nine of the dates, Kall initially recorded himself as not working and later altered attendance records to falsely indicate that he had worked a full shift, Sini said. On three of the dates, Kall reported himself as having worked full shifts without reporting for duty, Sini said.
