Community Corner
Sunny Skies, Jobs, and a Pat on the Back
Your guide to what's happening in the community.

Good morning! Here’s a look at what’s happening along the north shore on Tuesday.
- The skies have cleared following yesterday's downfall – which we caught a few pictures of and gathered up – and while the National Weather Service is calling for a 20 percent chance of rain, it should be mostly sunny skies today.Â
- Looking for work, or know someone who is? See who's hiring in our help wanted roundup.
- Congrats to these locals who are doing some good: team "Keep Me in Mind," several local little league teams who won their districts this season, and a handful of students who earned some well-deserved scholarship money from the Northern Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce. Way to go!
- If you're heading west to Port Jeff anytime soon and have a tablet or smart phone you're bringing along, consider checking out Port Jeff Portal, an interactive program the village has been working on to give visitors a little piece of history when they visit. Read more here.
Every day
- Find a new home in the Miller Place-Rocky Point area.
- Or visit a few open houses.
- What’s playing at the movies … and when?
- Hide and low tide times.
- Advertise your yard sale ahead of the weekend.
- See those yard sales pop up on our map.
