Top Students Earn Scholarships from Chamber

The Northern Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce offered up $4,500 in scholarships to local youths as they head into the next step of their lives this fall as they ship off to college.

The chamber offered $1,000 scholarships to Miller Place grad Andrew Crawford, Chade Walker of Rocky Point, and Anthony Grippe of Mt. Sinai High School. In addition, $1,000 was offered to David Michael Yonks of Miller Place as a chamber member student award, and another $500 to runner-up Joseph Seefield of Newfield High School.

The awards were presented at last month's annual chamber dinner at the Meadow Club in Port Jefferson.
