Welcome to another Monday. As you begin your week, here's a look at what lies ahead in the Miller Place-Rocky Point area:
- While Monday is supposed to be a sunny day, scattered thunderstorms are predicted for later this week. Check out The National Weather Service's five-day forecast here.
- On Tuesday, an ALS support group is being held at Stony Brook Hospital Department of Neurology at 6 p.m. This month's topic is The Long Island Walk to Defeat ALS. The guest speaker is Kristen Cocoman, Greater NY Chapter.

- A concert takes place at the North Shore United Methodist Church in Wading River on Monday at 7 p.m. Musicians Glenda Bates and Stephen Gamboa will perform.Â
- Like local beer? The Rocky Point Artisan Brewers will be taking their show on the road this Wednesday, as they swing over to Riverhead to launch The Riverhead Project's 'Beer Project' at 7 p.m., a weekly exploration into beer that joins the restaurant's existing lineup of other 'projects' such as the Wine Project, Book Project, Movie Project and others.
