PROSPECT PARK, BROOKLYN — Visitors to Prospect Park will be able to enjoy at least five more years of free wifi, the NYC Parks Department announced Tuesday.

The service, provided by AT&T, is available in the vicinity of the Prospect Park Picnic House, located at 95 Prospect Park West near Park Slope.

The program has been running in multiple parks since 2011, according to the Parks Department, with visitors logging on 8.6 million times since then.

The park has also added two free solar-powered cell phone charging stations: One at the Lefrak Center near Prospect-Lefferts Gardens and Ditmas Park (171 East Drive), and one at Vanderbilt Playground near Windsor Terrace (170 West Drive).

Despite all this, a reminder: Turn your phone off every once in a while and enjoy the scenery.
