Annual Jingle Bell Jamboree Continues in Park Slope
Family concert slated for Dec. 14.

For the 13th straight year the Jingle Bell Jamboree is set to take place in Park Slope.
The family concert event and sing-a-long will be held at Congregation Beth Elohim Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. Hosted by Ethan Schlesser, founder and producer of the Jamboree, and Rev. Dr. Daniel Meeter, who is pastor of Old First Church, the event will feature performances from a variety of ensembles.
The MS 51 Show Choir, The Mark Morris Dance Group’s Student Company, Purelements: An Evolution in Dance – Jr. Company and The Brooklyn Community Chorus are set to perform. In addition, there is a festive sing-a-long throughout the show with the traditional grande Finale: The 12 Days of Christmas, being performed by the entire audience.
There is a suggested donation of $10 for the performance. All proceeds will go towards expenses and to the non-profit arts organizations participating in the concert that provide services to the community. Â
The Civic Council will be collecting new and gently used unwrapped gifts for its Toys for Tots campaign helping local organizations that work with families in need.
The Jingle Bell Jamboree, co-sponsored by the Civic Council, Park Slope Parents, Old First Reformed Church, and Congregation Beth Elohim, was initially launched in the aftermath of 9/11 as a way of bringing the community together to help with the healing process.Â
