Burger Village is an organic burger establishment serving grass-fed and all-natural meats in the form of delicious burgers, sandwiches, salads and wraps. But that's not all — fresh hand-cut fries, onion rings and milkshakes made from organic milk and ice cream complete their delicious menu filled with indulgent-yet-health-conscious treats.

The burger joint also serves up vegan and gluten-free options and is completely peanut-free. Patch caught up with Nick Yadav, CEO of Burger Village, to learn more about the restaurant's healthy and eco-friendly approach to the family-run business.

Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?

Yadav: Burger Village was established in 2013. It’s a dream concept of mine and my three brothers Sam, Vick and Ravi. We have locations in Great Neck, Hicksville and Park Slope. We recently opened a new location in downtown Brooklyn on Livingston Street. Other than New York, we have a location in San Luis Obispo, California.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?

Yadav: We have been in the food industry since 2003 and have gained years of hands-on experience. Eating habits and choice of foods have changed over the years, and people are moving toward the concept of healthy, natural and organic food. It came to our mind to start such an establishment where customers can enjoy their favorite food made with healthy ingredients.

Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?

Yadav: Organic is the new healthy.

Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?

Yadav: The biggest challenge in my job is to maintain the standards and consistent quality of food and service that Burger Village promises. I believe that myself and my brothers are doing our job very well.

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?

Yadav: Happy customers are the most satisfying part of my job.

Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?

Yadav: Burger Village distinguishes itself from others by providing the service a customer is paying for. We do not compromise with our quality of food, and there is no room for substitution.

Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?

Yadav: The best piece of advice I have ever been given when it comes to success is: “Employees are the most valuable asset of your business; treat them as you want yourself to be treated. They are an important key to your success.”

Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited about?

Yadav: Yes, Burger Village recently stepped into Canadian market, and we're working on a new location, soon to be opened in Edmonton. We are also working on a new location in Farmingdale and Hauppauge in Long Island and Manhattan as well.
