Fire Breaks Out On Park Slope Rooftop: FDNY

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Firefighters battled a blaze on a rooftop near Fifth Avenue on Thursday afternoon, according to FDNY and video.

The flames broke out just after 4:15 p.m. on top of a building on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Lincoln Place that houses a Chase Bank on the first floor, according to the department's alerts and video.

Videos from the scene show a large plume of smoke emanating from the building, visible from blocks away.

Firefighters appeared to have the fire under control by 4:45 p.m.

There were no injuries reported, according to the FDNY.
