Free Breast Screenings Saturday, Jan. 7 in South Slope

Women over 40 are welcome to get a free screening.

SOUTH SLOPE, BROOKLYN — The American-Italian Cancer Foundation and the Mixteca Organization are bringing their free No-Cost Breast Cancer Screening Program to South Slope on Saturday, Jan. 7. The program offers mammograms and clinical breast exams to women who need medical care.

The screenings will take place at 245 23rd St. from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. To make an appointment, you can call 718-965-4795, or 877-628-9090.

To be eligible, you must be a woman aged 40 or older who currently lives in New York City and who hasn't had a mammogram in the past 12 months. The screenings are free, regardless of your health insurance coverage (or lack of coverage).
