Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for New York City
The National Weather Service cautions that travel may be hazardous overnight through daybreak Friday.

No, it’s not snow and it may not be for a while.
But the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for New York City and Long Island, warning of patchy dense fog after midnight and through daybreak Friday.

Visibilities of a quarter-mile or less will be possible during that period, the NWS says.
Once the fog clears, Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 60 degrees. The unseasonably warm weather will continue into early next week.

“Areas across the East will have several days in a row of record or near-record warmth through Monday,” AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dan Pydynowski said.
How about a white Christmas?
The odds still aren’t looking good, if that is the sort of thing you are into.
An overall mild pattern is expected to hold through at least the end of December and into the first part of the new year, according to AccuWeather.
The current forecast for Christmas Day in New York City: 50 degrees with “plenty of sunshine.” Santa might need a lighter suit.
