Ice Skating Rinks Open In Prospect Park, Industry City

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — It's officially skating season in Brooklyn.

Prospect Park and Industry City's ice skating rinks, along with a disco roller rink, opened on Friday for the 2020 season.

In Prospect Park, the LeFrak Center at Lakeside is open with limited capacity and timed tickets for 90-minute sessions. Its Skate School will open in December.

At Industry City, both the outdoor ice skating rink and Lola Star's Dreamland Roller Rink will include a mask mandate and social distancing rules.

Th ice rink includes an outdoor bar operated by Frying Pan Brooklyn for hot cocoa and snacks and is sponsored by Volvo Car USA. The Dreamland Roller Rink, open at the Factory Floor in Building 1, will be open from December until March.

  • Sunday-Thursday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Admission
  • Weekdays (Monday-Friday until 4 pm): $7.50
  • Weekends (Friday starting at 4 pm-Sun) + Holidays: $11
  • Skate Rentals: $8

Industry City Ice Rink

• Thursday: 4 to 8 p.m.
• Friday: 12 to 8 p.m.
• Saturday: 10 to 8 p.m.
• Sunday: 10 to 6 p.m.
• Visitors can find the Ice Rink in Courtyard 5/6. Tickets are $12 per person, with skate rentals costing $10 per person. Tickets can be purchased on site at Industry City or online.

Dreamland Roller Rink

• Adult Skate Class: every Friday & Saturday 6 to 7 p.m.
• Dreamland Roller Disco: Every Friday & Saturday 7 to 10 p.m.
• Toddler Skate Party: Every Saturday 10 to 11 a.m.
• Kids Skate Class: Every Saturday 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Family Skate Extravaganza: Every Saturday 12 to 3 p.m.
• Dreamland Discoteque – Roller Disco Brunch Party: Every Sunday 1 to 4 p.m.
• Tickets are $12 – $28 per person with skate rentals included with admission. Tickets can be purchased on site at Industry City or online.
