SOUTH SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Brooklynites can learn more about Citi Bike's expansion south of Prospect Park this week.
The Department of Transportation and Lyft, the company that runs Citi Bike, have set up a virtual question-and-answer session on Thursday to talk about the bike sharing network's expansion to Windsor Terrace, South Slope and Sunset Park.
The information session will be held at 6 p.m. through a Zoom link.

The session is the latest in a series of outreach events Citi Bike has held for its expansion plan across the five boroughs, which was announced last year as part of an initiative to make Citi Bike citywide.
An open "Suggest a Station" survey for the neighborhoods launched on the department's website last month. It asked riders to submit their ideas for where the ride-sharing bike stations should go, or give general feedback about Citi Bike's expansion to the section of Brooklyn.

Currently, two stations near Industry City have been Citi Bike's only foray into Brooklyn south of Prospect Park.
Citi Bike, and cycling in general, has become more popular as New Yorkers look for new ways to get around during the coronavirus crisis.
The bike-share system recently hit its milestone of 100 million all-time rides and is expecting to break its record of 100,000 rides in a single day this year.
The Citi Bike expansion is set to be completed by the end of 2023.
In Brooklyn, it will also include stations in Bed-Stuy, Brownsville, Crown Heights, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, East Flatbush, Prospect Park South and Kensington.
