Man Attacks BK Straphangers With Rock In Unprovoked Attack: Cops
One person was sent to the hospital after a man hit two riders in the head with a rock on an F train on Monday, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — Cops are searching for a man who started hitting straphangers on a Brooklyn F train over the head with a rock in an unprovoked attack earlier this week.
The man came up to a 35-year-old man on the northbound F train around 6:40 p.m. on Monday as it stopped at the Smith Street and President Street subway station, police said.
He started an "unprovoked verbal dispute" with the straphanger before taking out a rock and hitting the 35-year-old over the head with it, according to police.

The man also hit a 52-year-old who was sitting on the train with the rock, police said.
The man got off the train at Carroll Street.

The 35-year-old was taken to Methodist Hospital with bruises on his head and knee and is in stable condition, police said. The 52-year-old was treated by emergency responders at the station.
Police said the man, who they released photos of Thursday, is in his 40s, stands 6'2" tall, weighs 160 pounds and has a medium build. He was last seen wearing green shirt, black sweatpants, light colored sneakers, black baseball hat and carrying a black bookbag.
