Man Killed In 2nd Brooklyn Hit-And-Run In 24 Hours: Cops
Imorne Horton was hit on the Red Hook-Carroll Gardens border just 10 hours after a 6-year-old was killed in South Williamsburg.
BROOKLYN, NY — A 31-year-old was killed in a hit-and-run on Wednesday evening, the second fatal crash in Brooklyn in less than 24 hours, according to police.
Imorne Horton was hit near the intersection of Hamilton Avenue and Court Street just after 6:30 p.m., police said.
Emergency responders found Horton, who lived just a block away, lying in the road with trauma to his head and body. He was pronounced dead at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, police said.

Police said an unknown vehicle had been driving on Hamilton Avenue when they hit Horton, who was standing west of the crosswalk in the right-center lane. After hitting Horton, the car drove away, police said.
There were no arrests in the crash as of Thursday morning.

It comes just hours after a second hit-and-run in Brooklyn.
Earlier on Wednesday, 6-year-old Shimon Fried was hit and killed just outside his home in South Williamsburg by a school bus.
