PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Cops are searching for a gun-wielding man who tried to rob the Insomnia Cookies in Park Slope.

The man walked into the Fifth Avenue cookie shop just before 9 p.m. on Sunday and took out a black gun. He demanded the 18-year-old working there hand over the contents of the cash register, but ended up leaving before taking any money, police said.

The man fled south on Dean Street. Nobody was injured during the attempted robbery, according to police.

They described the man as being approximately 40-45 years old, 5’ 8” tall, 100 pounds and said he was last seen wearing a green jacket, blue jeans, a brown cap and black sneakers. Two surveillance photos were released:
