'Mini Street Festival' Planned For Park Slope Pride Celebration
The street festival, on Fifth Avenue, will follow a 5K in Prospect Park and include live music and drag performers.
PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — After a year celebrating through computer screens, Brooklyn Pride is heading back to the streets.
Brooklyn Pride, the borough's premier LGBT organization, will bring back its annual "Pride Day" to Park Slope's Fifth Avenue and Prospect Park this weekend. The in-person celebration comes after the event headed online last year during the coronavirus crisis.
This year, the festivities will include the popular 5K Run/Walk in Prospect Park, which is in its 25th year.
