Movie-Inspired Haikus On Show Outside Park Slope Theater During Renovations

Each poem is named after the movie from which it was inspired.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Haikus will fill the Pavilion Theater marquee as the building's interior undergoes renovations.

A set of movie-inspired haikus by the art installation duo Saint Flashlight will be displayed on the Pavilion Theater marquee for the next few months until the theater re-opens in winter 2018 as Nitehawk Cinema. Each haiku is named after the movie by which it was inspired

Saint Flashlight consists of poets Molly Gross and Drew Pisarra, who enjoy displaying poems in public settings. They recently worked on a project that involved haikus written on the walls of Crest True Value Hardware in Williamsburg in black electric tape.
