PROSPECT PARK, BROOKLYN — Prospect Park can't stop adding animals to its menagerie.

First, it brought in eight goats to chomp through invasive weeds in the Zucker Natural Exploration Area.

And now, a new baby otter has joined the Prospect Park Zoo family.

The baby, born on February 14, has grown old enough to venture outside his den, according to the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), which runs the zoo.

North American river otters are bred by the zoo as part of a species preservation program, the WCS said. Three were born in 2014.

Like other otters, the new baby — who doesn't have a name yet — was born without teeth and with its eyes closed, the WCS said.

It began eating solid food after several months of life, and can now swim around the otter exhibit in the zoo's Discovery Trail.

DNAinfo notes that in recent years, the zoo has also seen the birth of tiny foxes and pigs, two red pandas, and a baboon.
