New Bar Headed To Former Mission Dolores Space In Park Slope
The new Fourth Avenue bar will be run by the owners of The Hop Shop on Columbia Street, records show.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A new bar is on its way to the space where longtime neighborhood favorite Mission Dolores once stood.
A liquor license application for the 249 Fourth Ave. space was approved by Community Board 6's Permits and Licenses Committee on Tuesday, sending the application to the full board next month.
The new bar, which will be called Seven Bridges, will be run by the owners of The Hop Shop, a beer-focused bar in the Columbia Street Waterfront District, according to records and the new owners.

Seven Bridges will include 20 taps of craft beer.
"...We have nothing but respect for the great bar that the Mission Dolores team built in this location over more than a decade in operation, and like many in the neighborhood, we were saddened when they went out of business," owners wrote in an email. "We will do our best to continue the tradition of serving fine brews in a welcoming and inclusive environment."

Seven Bridges plans to have 18 tables, a 21-foot bar and outdoor space if it is allowed through the city's Open Streets program, according to the application. It will be open from 2 p.m. to 4 a.m. seven days a week.
The new proposal comes several months after Mission Dolores announced it would be closing for good in February. The bar had called the Fourth Avenue spot home for more than a decade.
"Thank you thank you thank you to anyone who ever celebrated a birthday, met the crew for drinks, used the bathroom during the marathon, brought your dog or just hung out with us for a while," they wrote at the time. "To our staff: 'you guys rock' is an understatement. We’d go to battle with you guys any day. See you all down the road."
The closure was announced with hashtags like "coronablues" and "pandemiclife" and came after a fundraiser for the outpost's bartenders in 2020.
