New York City Marathon 2014: Schedule, Route and Street Closings

The race on Sunday, Nov. 2, starts at 8:30 with the wheel chair division.

Start time for the wheel chair division of the 2014 New York City Marathon begins at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, but road and bridge closings begin at midnight.

That means some tough traveling in Brooklyn, of course, that will last far past the official end time of the race at 7:25 p.m.

  • 8:55 a.m. Achilles Handcycle Category and Select Athletes with Disabilities
  • 9:10 a.m. Professional Women
  • 9:40 a.m. Wave 1 (including Professional Men)
  • 10:05 a.m. Wave 2
  • 10:30 a.m. Wave 3
  • 10:55 a.m. Wave 4
