NYC Sanitation Worker Busted By FBI In Capitol Siege: Feds
Dominick Madden, 43, was arrested Thursday night in Brooklyn for his role in the riots at the U.S. Capitol, federal officials said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A New York City sanitation worker from Brooklyn has been charged for his role in the riots at the U.S. Capitol, according to federal officials.
Dominick Madden, 43, was arrested at his home in Sheepshead Bay on Thursday night after investigators caught him on surveillance video, wearing a blue QAnon sweatshirt, walking through the Senate Wing and the Crypt area of the U.S. Capitol building during the Jan. 6 siege, according to court documents and reports.
Madden — who has been suspended from the Department of Sanitation — first appeared on the FBI's radar after a New York Post story revealed videos of him waving a Trump flag and shouting QAnon slogans outside the Capitol, according to the documents.

Federal investigators eventually identified Madden by pulling his phone number, passport information and searching a Telegram account with his name, where he is also photographed in a QAnon T-shirt. They also used traffic cam footage to track his car driving toward Washington D.C. on Jan. 5 and returning to New York on Jan. 7, according to the documents.
Madden told the Department of Sanitation that he was out on sick leave during the time of the riots and, later, a fellow sanitation worker identified him in videos from the Capitol.

He was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building or area without lawful authority and engaging in disorderly or disruptive conduct in a restricted building, according to the documents.
At least five people died during the riot as the pro-Trump mob overran barricades, assaulted police officers and breached the building, sending lawmakers into hiding over fear of more violence.
Madden is the latest in a string of arrests in New York City following the Capitol riots. Others include an MTA worker, retired FDNY firefighter and the son of a Brooklyn Supreme Court judge.
