Parents: Discuss Your School Needs With City Officials Tonight
City officials will host a forum on Jan. 18 to discuss their plans for Community Education Council 15.
BROOKLYN, NY — Officials with the city's School Construction Authority are hosting a public forum on Wednesday, Jan. 18 to discuss their coming plans for Community Education Council 15, an area with includes Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, Gowanus, Red Hook, Windsor Terrace, and Sunset Park.
The SCA officials will base the discussion on their latest five-year capital budget plan, which can be viewed here.
The meeting will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at PS. 172, located at 825 4th Ave.

In December, Patch obtained a list of eight properties in Sunset Park the city is seriously investigating as potential sites for new schools. Officials have also announced they are moving ahead with plans for a 300-seat school at 4525 8th Ave., though it's years away from opening.
