PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Break out your fanciest duds, Park Slopers — your neighborhood is about to host "Brooklyn's answer to the Met Gala."

Or, at least that's what organizers with Arts Gowanus are billing their 2023 Patterns Gala.

Tickets start at $125 for the May 12 event at The Old Stone House.

From 6 to 9:30 p.m., it promises a vibe that's a bit more zany (and less problematic) than this year's Karl Lagerfeld-themed Met Gala.

"All attendees are heavily encouraged to wear the craziest patterns they can!" the event's page states.

The gala will help support Arts Gowanus as it expands ahead of an anticipated move into a 28,000-square-foot studio space and community center, organizers said.

Negotiations during the Gowanus rezoning process helped secure the space for the arts group.

Beyond encouraging brash patterns that would offend Karl Lagerfeld's black and white sensibilities, the gala features food, drinks, live music raffles and an auction of more than 60 artworks.

Auction artworks can be seen — and bid on — here. Bidding ends at 9 p.m. during the gala.

While Jared Leto is unlikely to show up dressed as Karl Lagerfeld's cat, the event will honor sort-of-but-not-really Park Slope celebrity Brad Lander, the neighborhood's former Council member and the city's current comptroller.

Lander, along with Julia Ehrman, the land use and budget director at his office, had negotiated with developers during the Gowanus rezoning to secure a community benefits agreement for artist studios, organizers said.
