This Park Slope School Is Among NY's Best Private Schools In 2021
Eight Brooklyn schools were in Niche.com's top 100 best private schools in 2021, including this one in Park Slope.
PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A Park Slope school has again been named one of the best private schools in New York State, along with seven others in the borough.
Berkeley Carroll School on Lincoln Place landed number 30 on Niche.com's ranking of the best private schools for 2021. It was one of eight Brooklyn schools that earned a spot in the top 100.
The title is not new for many of the schools on the list, including Berkeley. In fact, many have scored higher in past years. No Brooklyn schools made it into the top 10 this year.

The highest ranked school for Brooklyn in 2021 was Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn Heights, which landed at number 14 on the list.
The rankings are "rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education.," according to Niche. Ranking factors include SAT/ACT scores, the quality of colleges that students consider, student-teacher ratio, private school ratings.

Niche's full methodology is described here. Niche gives the most weight to SAT and ACT scores of students, the rank of colleges that students matriculate to and the percentage of students at each school who go on to four-year colleges.
