Park Slope Virtual Reality 'Bar' Moves To BoCoCa

The aptly-named "VR Bar" moved to a livelier location on Smith Street.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Park Slope's virtual reality "bar," where patrons can pay a fee to try out various virtual reality games and experiences (but not consume any alcohol), is moving from its Park Slope location near Union Street and Seventh Avenue to a much busier location in BoCoCa.

The aptly named "VR Bar" will set up shop at its more foot-trafficked spot at 261 Smith St., between Douglass and Degraw streets (smack dab at the intersection of the three neighborhoods that compose our beloved portmanteau, BoCoCa).

The new location is scheduled to open Wednesday.

Our friends at the Brooklyn Paper talked to owner VR Bar owner Kishore Doddi, who said they're pleased with the move.

“We were very happy with how everything worked out — it was better than we expected,” Doddi told the Brooklyn Paper. “We hope to return to Park Slope someday and hope that some of them will come out to Smith Street.”

Patch played phone tag with a VR Bar representative on Tuesday (which was moving day) but couldn't set up an interview in time for publication.

We'll let you know when we can tell you more about this cool-looking establishment.

In the mean time, check out VR Bar's website here. The website says that rates for playing the virtual reality games are $10 for 10 minutes. They are open from 12 to 8 every day.
