Police Blotter: Pickpocket Steals $500 from Woman at 7th Ave Grocery
The crook got away with $500 in cash, $100 Tiffany's gift card and five credit cards.

Grocery Store Wallet Snatch
A pickpocket snatched a woman’s wallet while at a Seventh Avenue grocery store and got away with $500 cash and credit cards July 3.

The 57-year-old victim told police that she still had her wallet inside her purse when she went inside Union Market, between 12th and 13th streets, at 7 p.m. About ten minutes later at the register, she realized someone had picked her wallet out of her purse. The crook got away with $500 in cash, $100 Tiffany’s gift card and five credit cards. Her bank and American Express called and said someone tried to use both at Target on Atlantic later that night.Â

A thief boosted a $50,000 luxury car from its parking spot on St. Marks Place sometime between June 30 and July 2.Â
The 37-year-old victim told police that he parked his blue BMW 328i between Fourth and Fifth avenues at 7 p.m. on June 30 and locked all the doors and windows. When he returned to his ride July 2 at 7 p.m., it was gone. He has no outstanding tickets and cops said it was not towed.
