Restaurant Duo Bringing New Pizzeria To Park Slope's Sixth Avenue
The owners of Piccoli Trattoria and several other Brooklyn spots have plans for a pizzeria near 12th Street, records show.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A new pizzeria run by a pair of experienced Brooklyn restaurateurs is on its way to Sixth Avenue.
Crosta Pizzeria, planned for a 486 Sixth Ave. storefront near 12th Street, is the latest project for Andres Whang and Andres Rodas, who run at least four other restaurants in the borough, a representative told Community Board 6's Permits and Licenses Committee this week.
Whang and Rodas are behind Piccoli Trattoria, also on Sixth Avenue, Belli Osteria on Fulton Street and another restaurant on Court Street, said their representative, Bob Callahan. The duo also owns an empanada eatery in Williamsburg.

"They both have experience, they've run a bunch of restaurants prior," Callahan said. "They know how to operate establishments."
The newest eatery will feature specialty pizzas and a range of appetizers, salads and some main courses, Callahan said. It will have 22 tables and a 10-seat bar.

The restaurant will be open from noon to 11 p.m. seven days a week.
"We’re not a late night hangout spot, we’ll be out the door at 11 o’clock," Callahan said.
Despite a small fenced-in space that surrounds the restaurant, Callahan said the owners don't have plans for any outdoor tables.
Committee members approved the liquor license with six votes in favor, one abstention and one vote against. The liquor license application, ultimately be decided by the State Liquor Authority, will next face Community Board 6's full board at their meeting in June.
It is one of three liquor license applications that faced the committee this month.
Others included a new license for the owners of The Armory, who plan to move to a new location a few blocks away, and a revised liquor license for Public Records on Butler Street, which plans to add a second-floor bar to host events.
