Learn the basics about the tarot from Donna Henes, New York City's acclaimed Urban Shaman. This popular spiritual teacher and advisor will show you how to connect with your inner wisdom to do simple readings for yourself and others. Join Donna in her Park Slope spirit center and learn the secrets of tarot reading in this hands-on workshop. She explains how the tarot is organized, how to choose and care for your own deck, and how to begin interpreting the cards. Donna helps you to tap into your natural intuitive ability and use it to understand the meanings of the cards. The class culminates in a mini reading for each participant.

Tarot Readings
Tarot is an ancient system of divination that uses a deck of cards with profound archetypal symbols pictured on them. The cards are shuffled and laid out in particular patterns, called spreads. My in-depth knowledge of the symbolism in the cards aided by astute intuition allows me to interpret the message and lessons as they apply to your life.

A tarot reading describes the energy that is surrounding you and indicates the direction where it is likely to flow. It does not tell your fortune nor your fate, as you have free will. Instead, it offers lucid insights that enable you to access the inner wisdom of your own soul.
