VIDEO: Schumer Joins Park Slope Band To Sing 'New York, New York'
"Dude can actually carry a tune," the onlooker who videotaped the senate majority leader's impromptu singalong said.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Nothing says New York City is back like stumbling upon a street performance on summer weekends — especially if that performance includes your senate majority leader.
U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer was spotted hopping on the mic in Park Slope on Sunday to join local band Alice Valentine performing in front of Something Else on Fifth Avenue.
The senator jammed along in the audience before joining in for "Piano Man," "The Weight" and Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York," according to onlookers.

"Nice job, Senator! Who knew you could sing like that?" one person Tweeted.
"I'd do karaoke with him I won't lie," said another.
The senator even re-posted the video himself with the caption "Live from Brooklyn."
The impromptu performance came several days after New York eased mask restrictions as it reopens from the coronavirus crisis.
The senator, who lives in Park Slope when he's not in Washington, also stopped by Times Square, a book launch and Prospect Park on his stay in the Big Apple.
And look who I just ran into in Prospect Park: The same band I was singing with last night! Alice Valentine was performing today with the dance group, Solo. They're great! pic.twitter.com/xlrsmxZeju
