Job opportunities will be provided to associates of the East Main Street Burlington store for the new location. There are currently eight Long Island locations for the department store chain in Massapequa, Garden City, Valley Stream, Lawrence, Glen Oaks, Commack and Stony Brook.
In addition, a new Ashley Furniture store is also expected to open at the former Bob's Stores, according to a report in Newsday. This will be the seventh Long Island location for the furniture store chain, which also has locations in Carle Place, Farmingdale (two stores), Lake Grove, Riverhead and Valley Stream.
A spokesperson for Pergament Properties, which owns the Gateway Plaza, said it is company policy not to comment on new tenants; however, the company is looking forward to the new additions.
The shopping center is also home to Marshalls, HomeGoods, Dick's Sporting Goods and more.
