5 Injured In Crash Involving Ambulance
The five people were hospitalized after the crash Tuesday night.
MEDFORD, NY — Five people were injured after a crash involving an ambulance in Medford Tuesday night, according to Suffolk police.
A South Country ambulance with a patient aboard, and lights and siren activated, was travelling westbound on East Woodside Avenue when it was struck at the intersection of County Road 101 by a car headed northbound at around 10:19 p.m., police said.
The two members of the ambulance crew, their patient, and the adult driver and teenage passenger in the other vehicle were transported to local hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.
