Ashley HomeStore Opens New Patchogue Location
The home furnishing retailer is one of two businesses taking over the former Bob's Store at the Gateway Plaza Shopping Center.

PATCHOGUE, NY — The new Ashley HomeStore in Patchogue is now open for business.
The store opened in the Gateway Plaza Shopping Center on 499 Sunrise Highway, taking over a portion of the former Bob's Store which closed down this year. In addition, a Burlington store will also be opening in the space this spring.
The home furnishing retailer celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting on Friday.

During the celebration, the company donated 50 twin-sized beds were donated to Hope for Youth for local children in need, one bed for each year the non-profit has been operating.
In addition to the donation, guests were invited to participate in a V.I.P. preview event in exchange for a $10 donation to Hope For Youth.

"A good night’s sleep is something many of us take for granted," Kate Travers, Hope For Youth Director of Program Development said. "From challenges at school to struggles making friends - lack of access to a comfortable bed can have an incredible impact on a child’s life."
The new 24,000-square-foot showroom is owned and operated by Factory Direct Enterprises (FDE), an Ashley HomeStore licensee based in Edison, New Jersey. The licensee also operates 22 Ashley HomeStore locations in New York and New Jersey.
The new Patchogue store currently employs 25 people. Ashley HomeStore has more than 1,050 locations worldwide, including six on Long Island in Lake Grove, Farmingdale (2), Valley Stream, Carle Place, and Riverhead.
"Most people don’t realize that we’re a locally owned and operated company," Justin Chrinian, Vice President of Sales for FDE, said. "As such, we are committed to giving back to our community, and supporting Hope For Youth is a natural fit for us."
