Meet Duke! This adorable guy is currently looking for love. He was taken out of his home for his own safety and well being. Duke is hoping for a second chance at a good life. He is a sweet soul with so much love to give. Unfortunately the first time around he wasn’t given the opportunities that most dogs are offered. Duke arrived with very little hair and a horrific skin infection. He was quickly diagnosed with Demodex (not contagious to humans or other animals) which he is still undergoing medical care for. Sadly he may never grow all of his hair back because he was left untreated for so long. Duke is a gentle guy who is a nice leash walker, he knows sit, is a curious guy and he is looking for a home of his own, a bed to curl up in and family to share his life with. Duke loves to go outside and smell the flowers around him, he gets super excited when he sees you coming his whole body starts to wiggle. Duke has been through a lot and really deserves a opportunity to shine and be a loyal and loving best friend. He will need time to decompress from his former life and shelter life but this guy has a ton of love, hope and happiness to offer you. Duke would prefer to be your only fur baby and he would do best with kids over 14 years of age. Duke is 6 years young, 49 pounds, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, micro-chipped and heart-worm negative. Make an appointment to meet him you will not be disappointed. Duke will need to be fostered until his skin is completely healed, he is well on the way to being healthy.
