Brookhaven Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Olive

BROOKHAVEN, NY - If you're looking for a new companion, consider starting your search at a local animal shelter like the Brookhaven Animal Shelter. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, many pets are still looking for their forever homes and shelters are still working to fulfill adoptions.

One of their available pets is Olive, a 7 to 8-month-old female mixed breed.

Super sweet and playful Olive is currently available and looking for her soulmate. She was picked up stray by an Animal Control Officer and brought to the animal shelter where she has waited and waited for her family to arrive and bring her home. Sadly that never happened for her so Olive is now wondering how long she will have to be a resident at the shelter. She is outgoing, affectionate, energetic, loves a good squeaky toy and what a doll to and play with. She is young and it doesn't seem as though anyone has taken the time to teach her manners however, since being here she has learned sit and she takes a correction very well. She needs someone willing to put the time and effort into her and the love and loyalty will come back to you ten fold. She did well with dogs and was uninterested in the cats at the shelter, she would do best with kids over the age of 14. She is estimated to be about 7-8 months old, she is currently 43 pounds and might gain a few more as she it still growing, up to date on vaccinations, micro-chipped and heart-worm negative.
