This handsome and sweet guy is Sgt. Stubby. He was out roaming and running in the woods when a concerned neighbor reached out to us. We put out a trap and within no time he was safe and back at the shelter. Sadly, no one had reported him missing or came looking for him. Sgt. Stubby was scared and nervous when he first arrived, after living in the woods for who knows how long everything must seem overwhelming. It didn't take long for him to settle in and make friends, he loves to run and play. We started doing work on some of the agility course and he is enjoying it. Of course his favorite treats help as motivation. He enjoys playing with toys and chew on bones. Sgt. Stubby is hoping for a better chance at a good life the second time around. He is looking for a family to love, a door to look out of and get his daily dose of sunshine and a bed to curl up in. He is a beautiful soul and would love the opportunity to have a home of his own. He will do best in an adult only home as the only fur-baby. Sgt. Stubby is perfectly petit at 42 pounds, about two to four years young, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, micro-chipped and heartworm negative.
