C.A.R. Cpt. Austin Roe Society at Medford Children's Spring Day

The Medford Chamber of Commerce hosted a Spring Children's Celebration on Saturday April 7 at the Medford Memorial Park. C.A.R. Cpt. Austin Roe Society sponsored an activities for the children. Rock painting served over 100 children! They also enjoyed a bean bag toss game and potato sack races (thanks to the Patchogue Medford Library items available for check-out!). The children learn about their ancestors who were Patriots of the Revolutionary War, current servicepersons, Veterans. Patriotism and respect for the American Flag is important. They also become involved in community outreach through fundraisers and donations. The children run their own meetings and learn about parlimentary proceedure. The newly elected officers for 2018-2019 are President Naomi Kirkup, Vice President Nora Metzger, Treasurer Avelyn Metzger, Chaplain Graham Nathan, Historian Reece Jackson, Registrar Terry Jackson, Parlimentarian Nathanael Kirkup, and Librarian Cordelia Nathan-Barry.
