EAST PATCHOGUE, NY —The Patchogue community is coming together to help a couple who lost their home after a devastating fire earlier last weekend.

Local resident Danylle Hoesterey started a fundraising campaign to help Vinny and Vicky Lettieri and their two pets. The family lost their Celia Street home after a massive fire broke out Saturday.

Following the incident, Hoesterey created a GoFundMe page to help the local family just before the Thanksgiving holiday. According to the page, the couple lost everything they own in the blaze.

"They always help everyone who needs, so if you could please help them now it would be much appreciated," Hoesterey wrote.

She is hoping to raise $25,000 to help the two. In just a few days, the fundraiser has raised a total of $17,020 to help the Lettieri family.
