Fireworks Near Me: Patchogue’s 4th Of July 2021

PATCHOGUE, NY — Although coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, many Independence Day celebrations have once again been canceled, modified, or will be held virtually due to the pandemic.

There are no fireworks planned for Patchogue this year, or nearby Long Island Community Hospital Amphitheater at Bald Hill in Farmingville. But some other events and celebrations will be held nearby.

Here’s a list of what celebrations are planned:

Port Jefferson:

• The Village of Port Jefferson is hosting fireworks at West Beach on July 4 from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. Residents can view the parade at east and west beaches. For more information, visit www.portjeff.com
• The Port Jefferson Fire Department is hosting is annual Independence Day parade on July 5 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Bellport:

• The Artists on the Lane summer arts festival, which takes place on Bellport Lane in Bellport, will be held on July 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, click here.

Brookhaven:

• If you are looking for a less traditional view of fireworks, there will be a 4th of July Paddle on the Carmans River from 8 to 10 p.m. Canoes, kayaks, and SUPs launch from Carmans River Canoe and Kayak in Brookhaven. For more information, click here.

Central Islip:

• There will be a fireworks display at Fairfield Properties Ballfield when the Long Island Ducks play Southern Maryland. That’s not all, though. In case you can’t make it, there will be another six displays this year. Click here for the dates.

Rocky Point:

• The Rocky Point Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6249 and the Rocky Point - Sound Beach Chamber of Commerce is hosting “A Celebration of Hometown Heroes” starting at 11 a.m. on July 4. The event will be held at the Rocky Point VFW, which is located at 109 King Rd.

Mount Sinai:

• Tiki Joe’s Beach Club at Cedar Beach in Mount Sinai is hosting a Fourth of July beach party featuring music by Slingshot. It will run from 6 to 9 p.m. For more information, go to www.tikijoesbeachclub.com
