How Patchogue Residents Can Help Others This Holiday Season

PATCHOGUE, NY — The holiday season is often a time for many to help others in need. This year, it's more important than ever due to the coronavirus pandemic.
With many suffering from job loss, it has become more difficult for families to bring that holiday meal or gifts for children to their homes.
However, there are still ways for Patchogue residents to help those in need despite such a difficult year.

Check out some of the ways below:
- The Angels of Long Island, a local non-profit that opened its first location in Patchogue, is hosting its 6th annual toy drive through Dec. 20. New and unwrapped toys can be dropped off at 350 E. Main Street. Click here for more information.
- Lighthouse Mission based in Bellport operates a mobile food pantry for those in need from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays in Patchogue on the lot behind Burlington Coat Factory. Click here to learn more.
- The Patchogue-Medford Youth & Community Services is a youth organization on 390 Bay Avenue that offers residents a food pantry and clothes closet Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Click here for more information on where to donate or how to volunteer.
