Chamber Executive Director David Kennedy asked any business in the downtown area that plans to operate after the prom starts to stop their patrons from congregating around the prom area, which “is not open to spectators and exclusive to the students” who are attending.
“No one should be attempting to interact with these students in any way,” he wrote in an email.
