PATCHOGUE, NY— A new street festival may be coming to Patchogue Village this summer and this one is more family-oriented. The Patchogue Young Professionals have applied for approval with the village to host the "Sundown Festival," geared toward family entertainment.

Tiffany Rivera is the Vice President of the Patchogue Chamber and the cofounder of the Patchogue Young Professionals group. She tells Patch that formal applications are being submitted Tuesday and she's expecting official approval at the June 14 Patchogue Village hall meeting.

The proposed dates are: July 22, August 5 and August 19. The Thursday night events would be from 5 to 9 p.m., on Main St. from Maple Ave. to West Ave.
