NYC Man, 37, Arrested In 2018 Long Island Murder: Suffolk Police
Ade Ngaii, of Manhattan has been charged with second-degree murder for killing Kristopher Appel, 30, in his home, police said.

NORTH PATCHOGUE, NY — A Manhattan man has been charged with the murder of a North Patchogue man who was found dead inside his home back in 2018, Suffolk County police said Wednesday.
Homicide detectives charged Ade Ngaii, 37, with second-degree murder in connection with the death of 30-year-old Kristopher Apel, police said. Apel was found by 5th Precinct officers responding to a 911 call in which a resident of the Sinn Street home he was living in reported he was injured and unconscious, according to police. When police arrived, Appel was dead.
Ngaii was arrested by Suffolk police, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals and the New York Police Department Warrant Squad.

Ngaii is being held overnight and is scheduled to be arraigned in Riverhead on Thursday.
